Workshop Creating a Fashion Collection – Be Wild
FFI organised for DDB – Mozambique a workshop on how to create a fashion collection with a target audience of young people that have already started or about to start their professional activity as Fashion Designers, in Mozambique.
This workshop took place at DDB, in Maputo, on the 19th of July and the Trainer was Dolores Gouveia, a renowned field specialist.
Among the discussed topics, a special emphasis was put on the contextualization of the Fashion phenomenon and the process of creation of a collection. The attention of Mozambican young people was directed to the existing methods of research and analysis of fashion trends, the importance of colour and the selection of textile materials, the creation of the “Moodboard” and its influence on the development of the collection.
On the Fashion Atelier included in the Workshop, a collection was structured and planned based on technical datasheets, measures and modelling techniques and a prototype was created.
DDB is responsible for the Mozambique Fashion Week for more than 10 years. This Workshop is part of the DDB – Mozambique’s strategy for supporting the training and qualification of young Mozambican Designers.
